Humboldt, Saskatchewan


The town of Humboldt with a population of about 5,500 is located in East Central Saskatchewan, north of the Trans-Canada Highway and about 70 miles east of Saskatoon.

The town has adopted a German theme in a successful attempt to boost its tourism industry. Main points of interest include Humboldt Historic Water Tower, downtown Humboldt Murals, Humboldt and District Museum and Art Gallery, St. Peter's Abbey, the Humboldt Golf Club and nearby Mount Carmel with its white marble statue of the Virgin Mary dating back to 1928.
